Danny Mehra
Danny Mehra collects rare tribal carpets from Central Asia and the Caucasus region. His extensive collection – which can cover an entire football field and then some, he jokes – consists of carpets that were typically made by women from nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes. Each carpet has a unique story inspired by the weaver’s thoughts and expressions, and the spontaneity of the designs make each one a delightful work of art.
Danny’s collection has been exhibited in the US, Europe and India and featured in various publications, including Architectural Digest, The Hindu, The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Economic Times, India Today, and many more. We worked closely with him on his event strategy and to organise private sales in India.
