Serena Chopra is a Delhi-based photographer. Her investigative process of documenting South Asian communities combines portraiture, interiors, and landscapes to tell intimate stories of her subjects. Her first body of work on Bhutan that spanned over twelve years was exhibited in solo exhibitions in New York, Thimphu and across India. Serena has since explored the lives of the residents of Majnu ka Tilla – a refugee colony of Tibetans in New Delhi; and Naga sadhus at the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar and during Shivratri in Varanasi. A series of her works commissioned by the Arts and Cultural Heritage are on view at the Partition Museum in Amritsar.
Serena has participated in various photography festivals including the Bonjour India Festival, New Delhi, Travel Photo Jaipur, Delhi Photography Festival and FotoFest 2018 Biennial, Houston. She has also published several books. We work with Serena on her communications strategy.
